Destressing Tips:

To get you started, here are some ideas for relaxing and calming your body and soul:

  • Call & visit friends

  • Pray, mediate or read scripture

  • Tapping

  • Sing & hum

  • Journal

  • Enjoy nature - garden, walk on a beach, look at the stars

  • Sleep - Try a weighted blanket

  • Clean something, a drawer, room, outside, etc.

  • Do something creative - draw, color, paint, write

  • Make something - have you been putting off a project, want to paint a piece of furniture, fix something that is broken, make something beautiful

  • Have a meal with friends, cook for someone, go out for a meal

  • Go out and meet new friends, join a group

  • Reach out to others - help a friend

  • Travel and see something new-go to a museum,

  • Start a new hobby

  • Listen to music

  • Surround yourself with beauty - put some fresh flowers on the table, set a formal dinner for your husband.

  • Watch a movie, read a book

  • Socialize - call a friend, visit someone who is shut in.

  • Animals - play with an animal

  • Hold a baby

  • Laugh, tell a joke, read

  • Be Grateful - look around and think of what and who you appreciate

  • Self-care - Go out and get a pedicure or manicure, get your hair cut.
